welcome at First Church!
We are living in perilous times, with the human family facing many difficulties and challenges. Our world seems to be spinning out of control with the specter of war, crime, violence, and immorality all on the increase. Our children, grandchildren, family and friends are all under tremendous pressure, struggling to live life with purpose, hope and peace. What are we to do? Where can we find solid answers for the shaky situations we face? At First Church, we believe Jesus Christ is the answer, not only for the problems in our world, but to the personal problems and challenges we face! There is hope for all who turn their hearts and minds in the direction of Christ. We are learning that there is purpose for living when we encounter God’s love, build our lives on the principles given to us by the Heavenly Father and allow His Word to transform us. We are on a journey at First United Methodist Church. We do not pretend to be perfect people, for we are not. We do not imagine ourselves possessing all of the answers to every single question in life; but we do believe that in Christ there is peace, purpose and power for living in the midst of the many questions we face! We invite you to come and journey with us as we worship God, follow Jesus, and love one another. Make plans to visit First United Methodist Church this Sunday. You will be glad you did! Grace & Peace, Rick Fite
